I came across some tools that might assist web designers in designing better and more useful web sites and designs.
Jquery is a JavaScript library which all web designers should use specially those doing agile web design. The library helps designers to develop an interactive web site with excellent event handing and user interactions.
I'm sure most of you have heard about the library and if you have not and you are a web designer then rush over to the site.
For those who already know about Jquery here is a link to the post at Speckyboy which has links to the best 25 tutorials on the Internet on Jquery. The post is here.
If you have used image rollovers that have borders in the past you must have come across a problem where on rollover the borders get distorted and disturbs the whole page's layout. CSS tricks (one my favorite web site) has a post that addresses this problem.
If you are a designer who dabbles in content writing then this is a must read for you - writing tips for web designers. A quick post which covers essentials of content writing.
Most of the web designers I have come across also program a bit. Nettuts is an excellent resource for trouble shooting and learning about technologies that are used to design web sites.
There screencast series on writing better PHP code is one of my favorite. One of the best episode is on writing code for uploading files using PHP which is filed under the post titled Learn (or use PHP better) with these tutorials on Neututs (screencast).
